A fully redesigned 2015 Honda Fit subcompact car will be introduced Monday. Honda says that the redesigned hatchback features new styling and has a "more spacious and refined interior," than the outgoing model. The current Fit is ranked near the top in our affordable subcompact car rankings and hatchback rankings, but hasn't been fully redesigned since the 2009 model year. The current Fit earns reviewer praise for its cavernous interior and flexible seat design that allows it to haul lots of cargo in a relatively small package.
Many auto journalists expect a redesigned Chrysler 200 midsize car to debut in Detroit. Motor Trend published photos of the new car that leaked onto the Internet this week, and says that "the 2015 200 sheds the boxy and frumpy look of its predecessor, and is sporting a rather attractive and rakish roofline." Motor Trend expects the 200 to have an optional nine-speed automatic transmission and the choice of either a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine or optional 3.6-liter V6. The current Chrysler 200 ranks 21 out of 22 in our affordable midsize car rankings.
